Along with LBME trainees Laura Pritchard and Olivia Yokers, we will explore the intersection of the acting method of Michael Chekhov, the movement analysis method of Rudolf Laban, and Body Mapping. We will provide a brief introduction to Laban Movement Analysis and the Michael Chekhov acting method. Each presenter will lead an exercise that will demonstrate the connection of each methodology and how they can be used as a performer and as a teacher to help cultivate expression in emerging performers and seasoned professionals alike. A list of resources for further exploration will be provided.
