Cynthia McGladrey

Cynthia is an instructor of studio voice, assistant choral director, director of Handbell Ringers, and teaches Body Mapping for Musicians at George Fox University. She maintains a private vocal studio in Salem, teaching music educators and adult professional students. Cynthia is a choral clinician and vocal adjudicator in high schools, mid-high, and universities throughout the Northwest. She has been on the voice faculty at Oregon State University, Linfield College, Mount Hood Community College and Western Oregon University. Cynthia served as coordinator of music ministries and director of children’s music at Salem First United Methodist Church from 1996-2007.

As a Licensed Body Mapping Educator, Cynthia is active in teaching Body Mapping for musicians. She is the instructor of “Body Mapping for Musicians I”, a full curriculum course at George Fox University, offered each fall semester. “Body Mapping for Musicians II” is now offered as well. Cynthia teaches throughout the Northwest in workshops, master classes, choral clinics, and individual sessions. She has been a Body Mapping presenter with the Music Educators Conference, American Choral Directors Association, and National Association of Teachers of Singing. Her emphasis is sharing Body Mapping information with fellow musicians to promote balanced, efficient and free-body movement for music educators and musicians of all ages.
