Camila Oliveira began her flute studies at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil, where she laid the foundation for her musical journey. Eager to expand her knowledge, she pursued a Master's degree in Flute Performance at Portland State University (PSU) in the U.S. It was during her time at PSU that she encountered Body Mapping, a discovery that profoundly impacted her playing. Inspired by the technique’s ability to promote ease and prevent injury, Camila became a licensed Body Mapping Educator.
Her passion for helping others unlock their potential led her to focus on teaching. Camila currently offers private flute and Body Mapping lessons, blending her performance expertise with the awareness-based approach of Body Mapping. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes not only musical proficiency but also personal growth, instilling habits that benefit students in various areas of their lives.
After completing her U.S. studies, Camila relocated to Montreal to continue her artistic journey at the University of Montreal (UdeM), further honing her skills. She is an active chamber musician, playing with Les Flutistes de Montreal, a flute choir.
In addition to her teaching and performing, Camila serves as vice-director of Rede Brasileira de Saúde do Artista (RSBA), promoting the well-being of Brazilian artists. Through her work, she is committed to fostering holistic musicianship and supporting the health and longevity of artists' careers.
