“I Can Hear It” is developed out of non-visual observation. This workshop will serve as a resource tool for teachers, trainees, and LBME’s,. Attendees will be provided sound examples and a short case study of performers with unknown Body Mapping errors. Together, we will discuss and explore different aural traits present to identify the existing Body Mapping error so that we can strengthen our aural skills in our teaching and as well as our own self-analysis.

Christina has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for her performances, her writing, and her service to the music community as a Licensed Body Mapping Educator. A passionate advocate, she educates institutions on music education for those with disabilities. Inspired by her own experiences as a blind musician, she regularly speaks at international platforms on accessibility. Christina studied under Joel Belgique, Kenji Bunch, and Basil Vendryes. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate in Performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with Liz Freivogel of the Jupiter Quartet and is the Editor for the Journal of the American Viola Society.
