Peggy Johnson was awarded the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Organ Performance from the University of Cincinnati (College-Conservatory of Music) where she was a student of Roberta Gary. From 1984-1988 she studied with Jean Wolfs, organist and cantor of the Basilica of Maastricht, Netherlands and professor of organ at the Höchschule for Musik (Maastricht, NL).

Dr. Johnson is frequently in demand as a recitalist, lecturer, teacher, and adjudicator. She has performed concerts both in the US and abroad including appearances in Riga (Latvia), Tallin (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Stockholm (Sweden), and Maastricht (Netherlands. In the past year in addition to concerts in Denmark, she presented two workshops on newly published music for Sunday use for the Region VI Convention of the American Guild of Organists (Colorado Springs, CO) and served as final round judge for the Augustana Undergraduate Organ Competition.

In Ft. Collins, Colorado, she served as Director of Music and Organist at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where she maintained a multi-choir vocal program for adults and children, an adult handbell choir, instrumental ensembles, and directed the Music at St. Luke’s Concert and Art Series which included one of the region’s longest-running Bach Festivals.

Dr. Johnson was certified as an Andover Educator in 2005 and, in addition to teaching and coaching privately, is available to teach one-, two-, and five-day body-mapping workshops.
