Bridget Jankowski received her BA in music with an emphasis in piano performance from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN. She began her studies with Barbara Conable in 1995, and in 1998 became the first person to become a certified Andover Educator. She has been a Suzuki piano teacher for over 20 years, receiving over 170 hours of Suzuki piano teacher training from well-known teachers across the country, including Mary Craig Powell (Columbus, OH) and Doris Koppelman (San Diego, CA). She is a certified member of OMTA and MTNA and serves on the boards of several arts organizations including OMTA, and local and state Suzuki organizations. Ms. Jankowski serves as an adjudicator for the National Piano Guild as well as Festivals and events throughout Ohio. For six years she was the administrative director of the International Music Festival in Berea, OH.
She has presented numerous sessions at local and national conferences for pianists and piano teachers. Her work in this field has taken her literally across the United States from Philadelphia, PA to Portland, Oregon and as far north as Anchorage, Alaska. In addition to bodymapping, she has spoken on topics which include organizing, fund raising and administrating local arts organizations/events.
As a certified Andover Educator, Mrs. Jankowski is available to teach the course What Every Pianist Needs to Know about the Body. She also gives a condensed introduction to the course to meet the needs of various organizations. In addition, she works individually with musicians of all instruments in her home. She presents the concepts of the course daily while teaching piano students from age 3 to adult with the Western Reserve Suzuki School. She currently resides in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with her husband and three children.
