About the Author
Robin Gilmore began teaching the Alexander Technique in 1986 and has been active as a movement educator and professional dancer for more than twenty years. She holds an MFA in Dance from Temple University and has received numerous awards and grants for her choreography and performance. Her dance training includes modern technique, contact improvisation, release technique and developmental movement. She directs an Alexander Technique teacher training program in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a writer and editor, her work has appeared in Contact Quarterly, Direction Journal, The [Alexander] Congress Papers and ISMETA News.
